Comatec is a technical and commercial company established in 1999 by three major shareholders :

	Peinemann Group in Rotterdam, the Netherlands
	Catracom in Antwerp, Belgium
	Ter Haak Group in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The activities of Comatec are sales, rental, repair and maintenance of forklifts, container handling equipment, trucks and trailers. We propose new as well as used equipment.

Starting with Cote d'Ivoire, Comatec now also covers the entire west-african market, french speaking as well as english speaking countries. Comatec is official dealer in West Africa for the following products : Nissan forklifts, Kalmar container trucks and Terberg terminal tractors. We also offer new PPM/Terex stackers and DAF trucks.

Out of Nissan Forklifts Europe, Comatec offers you a selection of new and second hand forklifts in the 1.5 - 10 tons range. Within the Kalmar product line we propose capacities from 8 to 45 tons. Comatec imports directly from Rotterdam and Antwerp port and mobile cranes and heavy container equipment. These products are also available as used equipement or from other brands : Hyster, Caterpillar and Manitou forklifts, DAF trucks and many others. Comatec also offers used earthmove equipment.

Our shareholders Peinemann and Catracom are the biggest distributors of forklifts in the Netherlands and Belgium. Both companies are official Kalmar dealers in these countries. Peinemann owns more than 1000 Nissan forklifts and 100 Kalmar container trucks. Catracom owns 250 Kalmar container trucks. Ter Haak is the most important stevedoring company in Amsterdam. The total turnover of our shareholdes exceeds US$250,000,000.

Comatec itself is based in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire and operates out of its workshop located in Vridi next to the port. The workshop occupies about 2500 mē, and Comatec employs 25 people, including 15 performant and well-trained technicians. Our stockroom contains spare parts for a total value of US$500,000 and we have equipment available representing more than US$3,000,000.

On top of the sales, Comatec also proposes advisory services, available to assist customers and consultants when planning new terminals and when improving the efficiency of existing terminals. This service includes equipment recommendations, estimates of numbers of equipment needed, overall cost analysis, terminal layouts and operational simulation.

Our customer base includes port enterprises, stevedoring companies, local industries, transport companies and factories. Whatever logistics our transport problems your company is facing, Comatec always has the proper solution. We operate in Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Sierra-Leone, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroun, Angola and Algeria.
